About Us
We’re Vicente (a proud Tenerife local, born in Venezuela) and Eli (from the Czech Republic), a couple passionate about helping people experience Tenerife better.
Tenerife has always been more than just a destination for us. It is Vicente's home, the place where our story began, and the island we keep returning to no matter where life takes us.
Through our digital guide, custom itineraries, and interactive maps, we hope to make your trip planning simple and the trip itself unforgettable.
Beyond Tenerife, we share travel stories and tips from Australia, Europe, and our adventures around the world.

Our Story
Let's go back to 2018, where I (Eli) took the first steps to get to where we are today. In that time, I was studying Tourism at a university in Czech Republic and took advantage of Erasmus programme in Germany. While studying one semester in Bavaria, I filled my free time with volleyball courses where I met a guy from Venezuela.
One year later, in September 2019, I signed up for an Erasmus Internship in Tenerife. The power of social media worked its magic, he saw some pictures I posted and connected me with Vicente, his friend who lived in Tenerife, to help me get to know the island better.
We were hanging out and traveling a lot. I spent amazing 3 months there. In December, we even celebrated our birthday together, as we found out it is only one day (and one year) apart. After my internship I returned home (around Christmas time), but we kept texting on distance.
In January 2020, Vicente left Tenerife to play baseball in Germany. It would probably make sense to mention he is a professional baseball player first. We spent most of our free time calling each other and I also helped him learning German by video calls.
In February, he took a bus to Prague just to see me and join me for Maluma's concert. The interest in the same music, dance, languages and travel just helped our connection.
That spring, Covid hit and the borders closed. That meant a lot of video calls for us, talking about everything, sharing our daily struggles and joy, helping each other learn languages, even cooking together on distance, and falling asleep on the phone.
When the borders finally opened in June, I took two weeks off work and went to Germany right away. There, we realised it is more than a friendship and decided to give it a try together..
Since then, we lived in Germany for the next 4 years, where we both worked full time, too. The first 2 years, we lived in Dortmund, and later moved to Wiesbaden, so we have explored a big part of the country (and other neighbouring countries) during our free time and holidays.
2024 was full of changes. We got engaged and left Europe to explore Australia! You can read more about this big move in a separate article.
2025 turned out to be the most adventurous year of our lives. We spent almost the whole year road-tripping around Australia, driving more than 35,000 kilometres around the country. We lived out of an old Subaru, slept in the car for months, occassionally looked after people's homes and pets, worked different seasonal jobs, explored many national parks, snorkelled some of the world's most incredible reefs and experienced places we had only dreamed about before.
It wasn't always easy. There were mechanical issues, long distances, unpredictable weather, exhausting workdays and moments of uncertainty. But every challenge reminded us why we love travelling together. We learned to adapt, trust each other and appreciate how little we actually need to be happy.
At the end of 2025, we returned to Europe and started a completely new chapter. We decided to settle in the Czech Republic for a while, build a home together, spend time with family and focus on new projects.
In May 2026, surrounded by our family and closest friends, we got married. Looking back, it's incredible to think what all we've managed in just 6 years. From meeting in Tenerife, surviving a long-distance relationship during Covid, building a life together in Germany, travelling across Australia and finally saying "I do" in the Czech Republic—it's been an unforgettable journey.
Today, we're balancing everyday life with our passion for travel. While we both work regular jobs again, we continue exploring whenever we can, sharing our experiences and helping you discover places we fell in love with. Our dream is to inspire people to travel more confidently, experience destinations beyond the typical tourist spots and create memories that will stay with them forever.
For us, travel is how our relationship was born. It helps us come back to being us, do what we love, enjoy life and ourselves and step out of the daily routine. It is our kind of "comfort zone". It makes us feel free, but free together, if that even makes sense. To switch off, be here and now, reconnect with each other on another level, get to know each other even deeper and in every situation, even if it is not always easy and according to the plan. But together, we make the best team.
After all, To Teide and Back was never just about a mountain in Tenerife. It's about the journey that started there and continues wherever life takes us. To Teide and back—and many places beyond...
